Abstract

Description

This six-part series of reports is based on a 1984 survey of 966 low income households in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. This study is a thorough documentation of the characteristics of the low income population of the Twin Cities and the problems they face. Households were interviewed where income levels were no more than twice the poverty level; the result was a representative sample of the poorest 20 percent of Twin Cities households. This first report is an overview and documents characteristics of low income people.
