Abstract

Iodine (III) reagents are used for oxidative dearomitization reactions. Iodobenzene diacetate (PIDA) is a common hypervalent iodine reagent. A chiral hypervalent iodine reagent will enable enantioselective applications in organic synthesis. The discovery of a catalytic application of achiral hypervalent iodine reagent will also be incorporated into the proposed chiral reagent.
