This report summarizes the 17th Annual Freight and Logistics Symposium, held in Minneapolis on December 6, 2013: Keynote by Rosalyn Wilson; "Third-Party Logistics and Speed of Change" presented by Meg Duncan; "Capacity, Efficiency, and Public-Private Partnerships" presented by Tim Thoma; "Manufacturers' Perspectives on the Transportation System: A Pilot Study" presented by Frank Douma; a panel titled "Supply Chain Challenges—Implications for the Transportation System" with panelists Jason Craig, Randy Brown, Chip Smith, and Louis Jambois.

Statement on page 1: The seamless and uninhibited flow of goods from manufacturers and markets to those who want them—the “gravity” of logistics—depends on infrastructure that can support and sustain economic growth.
