Abstract

This study will aim to determine which halophyte will best be able to outcompete common native or invasive Minnesota roadside plants. These halophytes will need to be able to establish themselves within the roadside ecosystem so the remediation is significant, and also, so they can be harvested feasibly. The amount of salt accumulated within the halophyte will also be taken into account to determine which halophyte will work best to remediate the roadside ecosystem.
