Abstract

The data shown by means of graphs and tables on the accompanying pages provide a systematic set of estimates of both the overall level of economic activity as measured by the Duluth Business Index (Chart 1) and the level of individual economic indicators for the City of Duluth from 1966 through 1977 (Charts 2-16). Also included for comparison are graphs of U.S. Gross National Product and U.S. Industrial Production (Charts 17 and 18). Taken as a whole, the charts shown here trace out a substantial portion of the historical change in broad sectors of the Duluth Economy over a considerable period of time.
