Abstract

Syntheses of two new components of sea lamprey migratory pheromone: PADS and PSDS were accomplished, which verified their structure assignments. A novel biosynthesis hypothesis of the hirsutellone family was proposed. Synthetic efforts towards hirsutellones A, B, C, and F were discussed in details.
