Abstract

Description

As a new legislative session starts, two Representatives, Phyllis Kahn, DFL -60B and Lyndon Carlson, DFL-45A, are recognized as the "Deans" of the Minnesota Legislature for their combined service of 84 years. Over their tenure they have experienced everything from the Minnesota Miracle to Governor Ventura, dealt with deficits and surpluses, and been in the majority and minority. They have seen many things about state governing change while many things have remained the same. Join us for a discussion with these two legislators to learn about the history of Minnesota and where the state may be headed. Moderated by former Speaker Steve Sviggum.
