Abstract

Description

The purpose of the study was to empirically quantify the extent and location of forest parcelization activity within a defined geographic area over a multiyear period and to quantify the relationship between parcelization and development activity. This study explores what is happening at the local scale through a case study of Itasca County, Minnesota, and sets forth a methodology for utilizing statewide real estate parcel data for examining parcelization and development activity over time.
