Abstract

This project was completed as part of the 2017-2018 Resilient Communities Project (rcp.umn.edu) partnership with the City of Ramsey. The City of Ramsey works to attract and retain the highest quality staff possible to ensure effective governance. As such, the City is considering adding programs that would improve office culture and encourage staff to perform at their highest level. Students in HRIR 6304: Employee Development: Creating a Competitive Advantage, taught by Stacy Doepner-Hove, worked with City staff to identify areas in which the City of Ramsey could implement such programs. The students researched best practices for continuous improvement efforts, and provided recommendations to the City of Ramsey. A final student report and poster from the project are available.
