Abstract
MANY of us wonder why there is so much difference between
the egg prices paid to farmers in the Midwest and those paid
by consum«;!rs in distant markets. A rather common conclusion
is that the wide margin means that the handlers in between are·
making handsome profits and that the remedy lies in reducing
such gains.
