Abstract

This paper presents two parts of a system which will be necessary for the development of automated negotiation: the negotiation protocol and an active market agent model. A set of criteria whicb must be met by automated market environments is presented. The negotiation protocol and a description of the proposed market model is presented. It is then shown how the combination of the protocol and the market model can be used to meet tbe stated criteria.
