Abstract

Zion Station on Lake Michigan was designed and is being built by Sargent and Lundy of Chicago for the Commonwealth Edison Company. The intake roof structure as originally designed and constructed was damaged. As a result the Harza Engineering Company, also of Chicago, which acted as consultant on the hydraulic design of the structure, commissioned the St. Anthony Falls Hydraulic Laboratory to conduct a model study of the redesigned roof structure. This report describes the study and its results.
