Abstract
This study involved measuring black carbon concentration in the exhaust of a Capstone C30 microturbine for different fuel compositions. Both diesel fuel and Jet A were doped with chemicals with high amounts of aromatic hydrocarbons. Despite this, each fuel used to run the turbine produced hardly any particles, and there was little variation in the number of particles produced between different fuels.
