This preliminary report on land use planning is the outgrowth of a study that was first proposed in 1940, with the main part of the work carried on in 1941 and completed in 1942. The statements and recommendations are the joint conclusions of representative farmers, representatives of the Agricultural Extension Service, Agricultural Adjustment Agency, Soil Conservation Service, Farm Security Administration and the Farm Credit Administration.
