Abstract

This document is a proceedings of the three plenary sessions (the opening session and two luncheons) of the CTS Eighth Annual Transportation Research Conference. The conference was held on May 13-14, 1997, at the Sheraton Park Place in Minneapolis. The opening session was moderated by Gerard McCullough and had a keynote "Road Pricing in the Real World" by Gerald S. Pfeffer, followed by a panel with Tore Hoven, Barbara Lukermann, Mariia Zimmerman, and Adeel Lari. The May 13 luncheon was presented by José A. Gómez-Ibáñez, "Transport Privatization: What's Working and What's Not." The May 14 luncheon was presented by Gloria J. Jeff, "ISTEA II-The Challenge of Managing a 21st Century Transportation System."
