VIREO / Day12 / Flight22. TEST: Closed-loop control law validation. RESULT: Good flight for control law validation. EVENTS: 1. Tuned TECS controller in "bravo" mode, i.e. only the TE component is active. The elevator is held frozen in the bravo mode. 2. Performed step commands in ALT. 3. The winds were low and the TE-only controller performed reasonably well in tracking the total energy. It appeared that the TE-only controller was giving priority to altitude tracking. 4. Performed aborted autoland in bravo mode.
