Abstract
Description
Goodwill/Easter Seals Minnesota assists people statewide with barriers to education, employment, and independence, and has been a major contributor to the development of Minnesota's workforce for more than 86 years. In 2005, the organization served more than 11,000 Minnesotans, including placing more than 700 individuals in competitive employment and helping hundreds more advance in their careers. This report summarizes a project to help the organization measure its success in meeting the critical need for employment-related services by measuring market-size and market-share, information that will be used to inform a new three-year strategic plan for the organization. The downloadable zipped folder contains files with the following information: (1) number of people with disability by county, (2) estimates of psychotic disorder by county, (3) food stamp recipients 1989 to 2002 by county, (4) barriers by 7-county area, (5) number of people using homeless shelters and number turned away 1990-2001, (6) number of people in poverty in 2000 by county, (7) number of persons becoming permanent residents during 2004 in Minnesota, (8) release from corrections (01/01/2005 adult inmate profile), (9) serious mental illness by county, (10) TANF recipients by county, (11) youth at risk by county, (12) an aggregated file containing the above data by county
