Extension Programming in a Blended Delivery Format

Abstract

Leadership Academy for Rural Public Health: A Pilot Program was offered in rural northwest Minnesota to address this question: “Can the same or similar results be achieved in a leadership cohort group when a blended delivery style is utilized vs. the traditional face-to-face full-day program delivery?” Key content of this poster session will include: 1) Rationale for offering leadership cohort program series in a blended delivery style; 2) The course outline and tools utilized; 3) Challenges a blended delivery style presents for the educator/presenter; 4) Challenges the participants identified this style of delivery presented; 5) Lessons learned related to adaptations needed from face-to-face encounters vs. webcast delivery; 6) Participant evaluations of the pilot program; and 7) Recommended changes to improve future delivery of a blended program.
