Abstract

As technology evolves, teaching methods change to use the new available resources to increase the quality of teaching. Over the last few years, postsecondary institutions have started pilot projects using iPads as classroom tools. As the postsecondary institutions have been sharing their results, I am comparing each institution’s focus and results they looked at in their project such as student reaction, benefits to student learning, and problems created in the classroom. Looking for overarching patterns will determine how the iPad is best implemented in the classroom and most effectively. A list of recommendations will be compiled that other postsecondary institutions have derived as well as making my own recommendations for schools interested in deploying their own iPad programs to students and/or faculty to improve technology in the classroom.
