Abstract

Although sociometric studies are plentiful, the sociometric research reported in this paper is unusual in that one high school class was studied for four consecutive years. This report includes the four-year findings of a longitudinal study of the influence of clothing on social acceptance. Two articles previously published in the Journal and referenced to in this paper reported findings in the ninth- and twelfth-grades separately.
