Abstract

Description

The next Minnesota Secretary of State will face many tough election issues. In particular, the new Secretary will have to make key decisions on implementation of new voting technology, absentee/early voting and voter registration rules as well as determine how to maintain Minnesota's tradition of strong participation while reaching out to language minority communities and voters with disabilities. What will the outcome of November's contest mean for the future of Minnesota elections? Join elections expert and Election Academy director Doug Chapin as he moderates a conversation with GOP candidate, former State Representative Dan Severson, DFL candidate State Representative Steve Simon, Independence Party candidate Bob Helland, and Libertarian Party candidate Bob Odden.
