Resilient Communities Project (RCP), University of Minnesota
This project was completed as part of a year-long partnership between Scott County and the University of Minnesota’s Resilient Communities Project (http://www.rcp.umn.edu). The goal of this project was to understand the motivations, barriers, and opportunities of landlord participation in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program in Scott County. Scott County CDA project lead Molly Link collaborated with students in Peter Bernardy’s course, PA 5311, to gather data via interviews and a survey of landlords to understand perceptions and experiences related to the program, and develop recommendations for the Scott County CDA. A final student report and presentation slides are available.
A report and presentation completed by students enrolled in PA 5311: Program Evaluation, taught by Peter Bernardy in Fall 2018.
This project was supported by the Resilient Communities Project (RCP), a program at the University of Minnesota whose mission is to connect communities in Minnesota with U of MN faculty and students to advance community resilience through collaborative, course-based projects. RCP is a program of the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA). More information at http://www.rcp.umn.edu.
