Resilient Communities Project (RCP), University of Minnesota
This project was completed as part of a year-long partnership between Scott County and the University of Minnesota’s Resilient Communities Project (http://www.rcp.umn.edu). The goal of this project was to examine current models of open self-serve libraries to assess staffing, infrastructure and capacity. Scott County project lead Kristy Rieger collaborated with Ph.D. candidate in Sociology, Matt Gunther, to interview implementation managers of four North American libraries and compile findings. A report and PowerPoint presentation slides are available.
Report and presentation completed by Matt Gunther, PhD student in Sociology in spring 2019 with faculty support from Rachel Schurman, Professor of Sociology.
This project was supported by the Resilient Communities Project (RCP), a program at the University of Minnesota whose mission is to connect communities in Minnesota with U of MN faculty and students to advance community resilience through collaborative, course-based projects. RCP is a program of the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA). More information at http://www.rcp.umn.edu.
