Item Emotion Regulation and Parenting Database Search Strategy(N/A, 2020) Palmer, Alyssa RFollowing an increased interest in studying emotions and emotion regulation, there has been a recent proliferation of research on the role of emotion regulation in parenting. Emerging evidence from various fields suggests that emotion regulation is critical for developing and maintaining positive parenting practices as well as mitigating negative or maladaptive parenting behaviors. This positioning in historical time presents an ideal moment to take stock in the current findings with the goal of orienting future empirical work. A systematic search, using PRISMA guidelines, was conducted to evaluate empirical research on the relationship between parent emotion regulation and parenting. This document represents the search strategies used across several databasesItem Spatiotemporal Traffic Forecasting: Review and Proposed Directions(2016-08-01) Ermagun, Alireza; Levinson, David MThis paper systematically reviews studies that forecast short-term traffic conditions using spatial dependence between links. We synthesize 130 extracted research papers from two perspectives: (1) methodological framework, and (2) approach for capturing and incorporating spatial information. From the methodology side, spatial information boosts the accuracy of prediction, particularly in congested traffic regimes and for longer horizons. There is a broad and longstanding agreement that non-parametric methods outperform the naive statistical methods such as historical average, real time profile, and exponential smoothing. However, to make an inexorable conclusion regarding the performance of neural network methods against STARIMA family models, more research is needed in this field. From the spatial dependency detection side, we believe that a large gulf exists between the realistic spatial dependence of traffic links on a real network and the studied networks. This systematic review highlights that the field is approaching its maturity, while it is still as crude as it is perplexing. It is perplexing in the conceptual methodology, and it is crude in the capture of spatial information.Item Supporting Fidelity of Implementation of Class-Wide Behavioral Interventions(2020-06) Klaft, JennaThese studies were part of a research line to examine what methods and techniques were most successful at supporting teachers’ fidelity of implementation of evidence based classroom management procedures as well as assessing different dimensions of fidelity and how they affect student outcomes. The first study was a systematic literature review of methods and techniques most commonly used to support teachers’ fidelity of implementation and answer questions regarding fidelity criterion researchers are using, characteristics of the supports, whether and how quality of implementation is being measured, and if student outcomes are being reported. The second study was an examination of the use of self-monitoring paired with automated performance graphing to improve the fidelity of a class-wide behavior management strategy, the Good Behavior Game. If fidelity was not brought up to criterion levels with the self-monitoring procedures, teachers were given their choice of follow-up strategy in order to bring fidelity up to criterion levels. Additionally, the use of a Likert scale and substeps were used to measure quality of implementation in order to compare the two methods of measurement.
