    This 24-page guide provides farmers and advanced gardeners with recommendations for growing asparagus in Minnesota. The practices described in this guide aim to support economically and environmentally sustainable asparagus production by Minnesota farmers, and are based in research and farmer experiences. The guide was produced as part of the Premium Minnesota Asparagus project, a collaboration between the Sustainable Farming Association and UMN Extension.

    Statewide Cooperative Partnership for Local and Regional Markets - Baseline Surveys 2022

    In 2020, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture joined with the University of Minnesota in launching the Statewide Cooperative Partnership for Local and Regional Markets (SCP or the Partnership) with funding from the USDA Federal State Marketing Improvement Program (FSMIP). The Partnership is a group of more than forty organizations that meet quarterly to provide input on the diverse experiences of small- and mid-sized producers, retailers, and consumers across the state. A list of partners can be found on the SCP website. To support data-informed development of local and regional markets in Minnesota, the Partnership designed and launched three surveys in 2022 to collect baseline data from producers, supply chain partners, and consumers.
