Roufs (Duluth, MN: Lake Superior Basin Studies Center, 1981, and Revised Edition, 1982).Item Working Bibliography of Chippewa/Ojibwa/Anishinabe and Selected Related Works(University of Minnesota, Duluth, 1982-12) Roufs, Timothy GWhat follows is a bibliography of printed and audiovisual resources relating to the people that whites have called "Chippewa" and "Ojibwa," and who call themselves Anishinabe. It includes, as well, selected references useful in understanding the experiences of contemporary Anishinabe peoples and their predecessors. Over the past fifteen years I have assembled it from many sources, and I have recently begun to use systematic computer-generated searches. Many individuals have used this bibliography and several have suggested its publication, even though in many respects it represents only a work in progress. This bibliography is regularly updated. When the number of new entries or the passage of time warrant, "Supplements" to this work will be issued. "Supplement A," containing about 325 new entries, is expected to be ready by early fall 1983. In addition, over 800 of the items contained in this bibliography have been indexed on a "Master Index." This indexing work continues, and when finished will be published as one of the "Supplements" to this work. In the meantime, users of this bibliography who have a specific interest are invited to write to me at the address below for a list of references now coded in the preliminary "Master Index."
