Item Latino Community Engagement for Early Childhood Screening: Ages 3–5(Resilient Communities Project (RCP), University of Minnesota, 2015) Karbeah, J'mag; Schmiesing, Anne Manning; McKye, BridgeThis project was completed as part of the 2015-2016 Resilient Communities Project (rcp.umn.edu) partnership with Carver County. Public Health Department officials in Carver County had identified immunizations and early childhood screenings for children of new immigrant families as a health priority for the County. One need identified to achieve this goal was developing better outreach strategies to Latino families in the area. Carver County project lead Jennifer Anderson partnered with students in PUBH 6630: Foundations of Maternal and Child Health, to develop recommendations to promote early childhood screenings for children aged 3-5. The students' final report, poster, and presentation are available.
