    Efficacy of Prescription Medications for Diabetic Neuropathic Pain

    Because it has been shown that there is no clear advantage of any one drug used to treat diabetic neuropathic pain, medication decisions can be made based upon patient preference, side effect profile, and with consideration of other diseases the patient may have (e.g. heart disease, depression). Physicians and patients alike can be confident that whatever drug chosen should help the patient’s condition.
