    Creating Mobility Hubs to Connect Transportation Modes

    This project was completed as part of a year-long partnership between SmartLink, Scott County and the University of Minnesota’s Resilient Communities Project (http://www.rcp.umn.edu). The goal of this project was to envision the design of Mobility Hubs and how they can function in a suburban setting and specifically how the Marschall Road Transit Station in Shakopee can transform into a hub. SmartLink project lead Alan Herrmann collaborated with students in Dr. Fernando Burga’s courses, PA 5211 and PA 8991, to create a series of research posters that provide an overview of shared mobility hubs, best practices and recommendations, redesign concepts, and land use, network, and site analysis.
