    Tourism for Richfield: A Sustainable Community Development Approach

    This report presents the findings of the Tourism Assessment Program conducted by the University of Minnesota Tourism Center for Visit Richfield. The program aimed to identify marketing opportunities to attract tourists to the City of Richfield and explore sustainable community development approaches. The report includes observations and recommendations based on community and business surveys, economic analysis, expert team visits, and mobile data findings. The report suggests three touchstones for community tourism development in Richfield: embracing hometown experiences, embracing the role as a metro hub, and attracting travelers to iconic destinations. Additionally, the report provides further recommendations and appendices with detailed findings from each component of the program.
