    FoRAGES, PARTICULARLY PASTURE, are the most important crops grown on many Minnesota livestock farms. These are the crops around which a land-use program must be developed. The kinds of pasture and forage included in a land-use program will be determined by the type of soil, the slope of the land, and the amount of erosion.
