Abstract
Description
A statistical comparison is made of how, in the late 1970s, the Minnesota criminal justice system treated American Indians as compared with blacks and whites. Treatment by police, prosecutors, and courts is examined as well as treatment within the corrections system. How Indians are treated in different areas of Minnesota is explored. Data originated in the computerized data base of the state's Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
