Sub-optimal EHR usability as a result of insufficient incorporation of User-Centered Design (UCD) approach during System Development Life Cycle process (SDLC) is considered as a leading factor for this observed discrepancy. The purpose of this study is to expand our knowledge around physicians’ interaction with in-patient EHRs around clinical documentation work flow processes by examining various tasks related to not entry and related information-seeking.
