The work was produced by Corinne Deger, who is a part of the College of Design, Department of Architecture. Her research was facilitated by Professor Julia W. Robinson.The following is a unit plan and analysis of an American complex housing project from the Twin Cities area. The detailed unit plan is a portion of a larger analysis of Professor of Architecture Julia W. Robinson's research. Julia Robinson is researching Dutch Complex housing, and a comparison of Dutch vs. American housing will help her better understand how living spaces are designed in the Netherlands. We have zoomed in to a larger scale to understand how the individual units are laid out. This can help us better understand the ideas we have focused on, which include analysis of space, pathways, security, and private vs. public. We can then compare the Dutch housing units to the American housing units to understand how the individual units contribute to making unique multi-functional communities on each floor.enPresentation
