To bridge this gap, the LinearSnap has been developed as an affordable alternative to current imaging systems. This paper explains the importance of dendrochronology research and details the methodologies used to increase the accessibility of the LinearSnap. The results of this project include a detailed user manual, simplified electronics design, and a thorough assembly guide.
