Minneapolis Neighborhood Information System2019-06-052019-06-052002https://hdl.handle.net/11299/203439Like many older neighborhoods in Minneapolis, St. Anthony West is faced with a growing number of senior householders who have homes in need of rehabilitation or that may soon be turning over. The neighborhood wanted to identify areas of the neighborhood where senior homeowners are concentrated so they could better target resources and provide outreach to areas in need. Housing data from the 2000 U.S. Census on senior heads of household were mapped at the block-level for the St. Anthony West neighborhood. A parcel overlay was completed and parcels that were within highly concentrated senior homeowner blocks were selected.
