Of particular concern were gas stations and vacant lots that once contained gas tanks. Redevelopment of these lots is very expensive because they must be cleaned up to meet environmental specifications. To get a perspective on pollution issues in the neighborhood, a list of City-provided addresses of polluted sites and industrial polluters were geocoded against the City parcel basemap. The neighborhood developed a classification of pollution/polluter types based on their understanding of each site and tried to reflect this in the final map.enEnvironmentalGeographic Information Systems (GIS)Harrison NeighborhoodMapsMinneapolisMinneapolis Neighborhood Information System (MNIS)Neighborhood OrganizationsPollutionHarrison Neighborhood Environmental Assessment.Report
