After hiring a new city manager, the City of North St. Paul was interested in staff satisfaction and workplace culture projects. Project lead Jason Ziemer collaborated with students in Dr. Stacy Doepner-Hove’s course, HRIR 8034: Employee Development–Creating a Competitive Advantage, to address these new initiatives. The students conducted research on performance management systems, and offered recommendations for the City based on this research. Their recommendations focused on goal setting, job performance evaluation, rewards and recognition, and communication. This is one of five reports completed by student teams on this topic for this course. The final report and a poster summarizing the work of all five groups are available.ensustainabilitylocal governmentNorth St PaulNorth St. Paul Projects, 2013-2014Performance Management at the City of North St PaulReport
