To engage more residents in natural areas in the city, North St. Paul was interested in environmental education and management initiatives that would bring more residents to surrounding parks. Project lead Jon Fure collaborated with students in Dr. Ken Gilbertson’s EnEd 5325: Environmental Issues Investigation course at the University of Minnesota Duluth campus to develop recommendations to improve the visitor experience at parks. Based on their research, the students offered recommendations for education, community development, recreation, and environmental improvements. The final report, presentation, and a poster are available.ensustainabilitylocal governmentNorth Saint PaulNorth St. Paul Projects, 2013-2014Recommendations for Enhancing the Visitor Experience Through Sustainability EducationPresentation
