With an increasingly aging population, the City of North St. Paul wanted to determine ways for its residents to age safely in their homes. Project lead Jon Fure collaborated with students in HSG 5481: Promoting Independence in Housing and Community, taught by Dr. Lyn Bruin, on identifying barriers to residents aging in their homes. The students conducted interviews with residents and key stakeholders, recommending that the City support home modification programs and incorporate universal design methods. The final report, presentation, and poster are available.ensustainabilitylocal governmentNorth Saint PaulNorth St. Paul Projects, 2013-2014Aging and Housing in North St PaulPresentation
