Ramsey is blessed with an abundance of rivers, lakes, and wetlands, which provide many ecological benefits, but also bring the risk of periodic flooding and potential damage to property and infrastructure. Ramsey currently lacks the resources to easily explain to landowners the risks of flooding and steps to avoid property damage from floods. Students in Dr. Dan Milz’s Planning and Participation Processes class worked to develop materials that help explain flooding risks in Ramsey, how residents and businesses may be impacted, and what they can do to reduce risks and prepare for flooding. A final report and poster are available.enLocal GovernmentSustainabilityRamseyCity of Ramsey Projects, 2017-2018Floodplain Communications Plan for the City of Ramsey, MinnesotaReport
