The goal of this project was to envision the design of Mobility Hubs and how they can function in a suburban setting and specifically how the Marschall Road Transit Station in Shakopee can transform into a hub. SmartLink project lead Alan Herrmann collaborated with students in Dr. Fernando Burga’s courses, PA 5211 and PA 8991, to create a series of research posters that provide an overview of shared mobility hubs, best practices and recommendations, redesign concepts, and land use, network, and site analysis. Research posters are available. A videorecording of the students’ final presentation is available at https://vimeo.com/418123810enlocal governmentssustainabilityResilient Communities Project, 2019-2020Scott County Projects, 2019-2020Creating Mobility Hubs to Connect Transportation ModesImage
