Literature references house large amounts of genomic data which can be compared to each other. These papers show that mitochondrial DNA can help make connections between groups through maternal haplogroup identification. This project not only compiled and organized this data but gave insight to how mitochondrial DNA can be used to find genetic links among a group of ancient people which can later be compared to modern.enThe Significance of Ancient Mitochondrial DNA in Establishing Genetic AncestryReport
