The population of the City of Rosemount is becoming increasingly diverse as new immigrant groups make Rosemount their home. City staff noted that they have relatively little contact with immigrants or knowledge of the barriers they face to integration into the Rosemount community. The goal of this project was to inventory, evaluate, and identify gaps in services and programs geared toward new immigrant groups in Rosemount. In collaboration with city project lead Lisa Maurer, Recreation Supervisor for the City of Rosemount, a team of students in PA 5281: Immigrants, Urban Planning, and Policymaking held a series of focus groups with immigrant groups in Rosemount and provided recommendations for the City to better engage with and support immigrant residents. A final report from the project is available.ensustainabilitylocal governmentRosemountRosemount Projects, 2014-2015Needs Assessment for Immigrant Groups in RosemountReport
