A priority identified in the Brooklyn Park Recreation and Parks Master Plan is to support health equity and active living strategies. The goal of this project was to support these initiatives by evaluating existing parks in the city to assess existing play structures and recreation opportunities, and evaluate the potential for adding nature-based recreation and play elements. City of Brooklyn Park project lead Brad Tullberg collaborated with five teams of students in Dr. Tony Brown’s REC 3281 course, each of which focused on parks in a particular geographic area of the city.
