The City of Rosemount is actively working to minimize its contribution to climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Community outreach and engagement is vital for the success of any city’s environmental mission. The goal of this project was to explore opportunities for community-driven greenhouse gas reduction efforts and activities to help the City of Rosemount meet its environmental goals. In collaboration with city project lead Jason Lindahl, a planner for the City of Rosemount, a team of students in SUST 4004: Sustainable Cities conducted community outreach at Rosemount’s United Methodist Church and collaborated with a local organization to gauge local awareness of climate issues and develop best practices regarding outreach and education. A final report and presentation from the project is available.ensustainabilitylocal governmentRosemountRosemount Projects, 2014-2015Carbon Reduction and Community OutreachPresentation
