Ong's Thought," I highlight (1) NYT columnist David French's column titled "I Don't Want to Live in a Monoculture, and Neither Do You" (dated October 20, 2024), (2) the work of the American Jesuit scholar Walter J. Ong (1912-2003; Ph.D. in English, Harvard University, 1955) of Saint Louis University (where I took five courses from him over the years), and (3) my life and work, especially my year of teaching English at the prestigious City College of the City University of New York in 1975-1976.
