Project goals were (1) to quantify calcium concentrations and loads seasonally from East Two River into Lake Vermilion; and (2) determine how calcium concentrations change longitudinally in the lower reaches of East Two River before it discharges into Pike Bay of Lake Vermilion. As a bivalve mollusk, zebra mussels require a certain minimum concentration of calcium for shell growth and reproduction.enCalcium loadEast Two River MinnesotaLake Vermilion MinnesotaZebra musselsNatural Resources Research InstituteUniversity of Minnesota DuluthEast Two River Calcium Loading Study: Headwaters to Lake VermilionNatural Resources Research Institute Technical ReportTechnical Report
