With a close proximity to the central business district of downtown Minneapolis, the adjacency to the Mississippi River, freeway access, and lower than average real estate prices, the West Broadway corridor remains an under utilized asset ripe with potential. This report, written in conjunction with the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA) and the West Broadway Business and Coalition (WBC) builds off of the parameters established within the West Broadway Alive plan and examines several case studies of similar redevelopment scenarios. Further, with the aspiration of maintaining the unique character of the corridor while implementing forward-thinking growth strategies, this paper will detail the opportunities currently present along the West Broadway corridor.
