The Reaction - Conversely, what stood out as the unknown enti- ties include the questions of just how to get the issues of traffic safety on the legislative and public agenda, how to get on the media’s radar, and how to form the necessary partnerships; The Advice - In the small group sessions, participants identified numerous challenges and opportunities for Minnesota to achieve the goal of Zero Deaths. This section synthesizes those ideas that were developed in the small group sessions, and presents specific suggestions for moving ahead with Minnesota’s safety agenda.Sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and the Minnesota Toward Zero Deaths Program. The conference was held June 11-13, 2001, at the Earle Brown Center, University of Minnesota in St. Paul, bringing together transportation safety stakeholders from Minnesota and beyond to share best practices in the areas of engineering, enforcement, education, and emergency services, and to chart the course for a future where traffic fatalities and life-changing injuries are rare events.enTransportationToward Zero DeathsSafetyConferenceNorthstar Workshop Summary - Connecting the Minnesota Safety Agenda: Towards Zero Deaths 2001Report
